Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend heading to the Nintendo Switch

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the SaGa series, the Final Fantasy Legend games will arrive on the Nintendo Switch later this year.

Announced at the Nintendo Direct, the Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend will arrive on December 15. This collection will feature enhancements, including the ability to relive the Game Boy days by playing the Switch vertically. The $19.99 collection is available for pre-order here.

1989’s The Final Fantasy Legend became Square’s first game to sell over a million units. The game’s success led to 1990’s Final Fantasy Legend II and 1991’s Final Fantasy Legend III. The Final Fantasy Legend became a major influence on Pokémon.

A new Fable game is in development for Xbox

Fable will make its triumphant return to Xbox in the near future.

Announced at today’s Xbox showcase, a new Fable game in currently in development. Playground Games, who are best known for the Forza Horizon series, are working on the title. No release date has been confirmed. You can view the announcement trailer below. The game will arrive on Xbox Series X and Windows 10.

This will be the first main Fable game since 2010’s Fable III. A slew of spin-offs have been released over the years, including the digital card game Fable Fortune. In 2016, Lionhead Studios was slated to unveil Fable Legends, but the game was cancelled along with the studio closing.
