Dragon Quest XI to arrive on Xbox this December

Dragon Quest XI will make its way to Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and Windows 10 later this year.

Announced at today’s Xbox showcase event, the game will arrive on December 4. This is the first time a Dragon Quest game has ever appeared on an Xbox console. This port is based on the Nintendo Switch’s Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition, which arrived last year. This version includes a slew of upgrades, including the option of using 16-bit graphics.

A trailer for the port can be seen below. Pre-orders can be made here.

Released back in 2017, Dragon Quest XI has sold over five million copies. The game earned RPG of the Year nominations at The Game Awards, Game Critics Awards, and D.I.C.E. Awards. At the Titanium Awards, Dragon Quest XI would win in that category.

Beloved JRPG Persona 4 Golden lands on Steam

It’s official: Persona 4 Golden is available to purchase on Steam right now.

Originally released on the PlayStation Vita in 2012, Persona 4 Golden is an enhanced version of 2008’s Persona 4. Many publications and fans worldwide have stated Golden is the superior version. To some, the game was the main reason to purchase a Vita, which was discontinued in 2019. An anime series based on the game was released in 2014.

The Steam port of Persona 4 Golden features HD graphics and the ability to switch between the English and Japanese voice acting. The game is available for $19.99 right now. If you’re looking to spend a few more dollars, a digital deluxe edition is available for $24.99. This version includes a digital artbook and a digital copy of the soundtrack.

This is the first main Persona game to land anywhere outside of PlayStation consoles since 1999’s Revelations: Persona, which was released on PC in Japan. Over the years, several Persona spin offs have landed on Xbox and Nintendo consoles, including Persona 4 Arena and Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.
