Adventure RPG game Meg’s Monster announced for Nintendo Switch and PC this fall

Adventure RPG game Meg’s Monster, which is being published/developed by Japanese indie studio Odencat inc, will be unveiled this fall.

Announced on Sunday, Meg’s Monster will be released on the Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam). A synopsis for the game reads:

When a lost little girl named Meg (whose tears just so happen to hold the power to bring forth the apocalypse) winds up in a world full of mutants and monsters who eat humans for breakfast, it’s up to a hulking brute named Roy and his pal Golan to help her make it back home. As they scour the Underworld for clues regarding her mother’s whereabouts, the trio will slowly warm up to one another, while also uncovering some truly astonishing secrets about their world and themselves.

There’s a major twist with the journey, though. Roy walks around with maxed out HP while Meg is extremely fragile. If Meg cries, it’s game over.

The music and sound design is being worked on by Monster Hunter and Atelier Ryza 2 composer Reo Uratani. Singer Laura Shigihara, who is best known for their work in Deltarune, Plants vs. Zombies, and Cosmic Star Heroine, will perform the game’s theme song.

Meg’s Monster can be wishlisted on Steam right now.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
