Bytten Studio announce new open-world RPG Cassette Beasts

U.K. indie game studio Bytten Studio have shared details on their new video game Cassette Beasts.
Announced on Monday, the open-world RPG finds the player trying to escape the remote island New Wirral. Monsters at every turn look to make that goal become difficult, though. In order to make it home, the player must collect monsters’ abilities. To capture a monster’s abilities, you must record them on an old cassette tape. Play the tape back, and you turn into them.
You can also use the Fusion System to create new monsters. With 120 base monsters, you can create up to 14,400 combinations. A Fusion demo can be found here. Aside from single player action, local co-op will be included. An announcement trailer can be seen below.
Bytten Studio is currently looking for some help in the financial and publishing fields. People interested in helping this game become a reality can head here. You can wishlist the game on Steam here. No projected release date has been set.
Members of Bytten Studio have worked on the popular games Stardew Valley, Wargroove, and Starbound. Earlier this year, the studio unveiled their debut release Lenna’s Inception.
