Read MoreNearly a month after releasing the title track from their forthcoming album Ohms, Deftones are back with a new single.
The track “Genesis” can be heard below. The visual for the track was directed by Sebastian Kökow from the29nov films. The track is available on all streaming services right now.
Ohms is slated for a September 25th release. Pre-orders for the album can be made here. Ohms is the follow up to Deftones’ 2016 studio album Gore, which debuted at number two on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
Deftones recently announced an appearance at the 2021 Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium. The music festival will also feature performances from Aerosmith, Dimmu Borgir, and Killing Joke. More information on Graspop Metal Meeting can be found here.
Alternative metal act Deftones have unveiled the title track for their new studio album Ohms.
Unveiled yesterday, the music video for the single was directed by rafatoon, who worked on visuals for Dua Lipa, Linkin Park, and Cash Cash. You can check out the new track below.
Pre-orders for Ohms are live here. This is the band’s first official studio album with producer Terry Date since their 2003 self-titled album. The band worked with Date for their unreleased album Eros. Ohms is the follow up to Deftones’ 2016 studio album Gore, which debuted at number two on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Ohms will be released on September 25.
Deftones will be hitting the road this summer in one of the most intriguing lineups seen this year.
Announced today, the alternative metal giants will embark on a headlining tour with support from French progressive metal group Gojira and pop/heavy metal act Poppy. The tour will kick off on July 27 at the Theatre Of The Clouds at Moda Center in Portland, and it’ll conclude with a stop Denver’s Pepsi Center on September 5.

Deftones have been working on the follow up to their 2016 studio album Gore. Gojira have also been in the studio penning material for the follow up to 2016’s Magma, which earned them two Grammy nominations. Poppy will be supporting their new album I Disagree, which topped the UK Rock and Metal Albums chart and peaked at number five on the Hard Rock Albums chart.

Deftones promised some information about their 2nd annual Dia De Los Deftones today, and they delivered big time.
The lineup for the one day music festival has been revealed, and it features a slew of talented artists from across many genres. Synthpop act Chvrches, Grammy nominated metal group Gojira, rapper JPEGMAFIA, space rock band Hum, industrial duo Youth Code, and hard rockers Brutus will join Deftones on stage at San Diego’s Park at the Park at Petco Park on November 2.
Tickets for this all ages show will go on sale to the general public this Friday (August 2) at 10 a.m. PST. Pre-sale tickets go live this Wednesday (July 31) at 10 a.m. PST.
