System of a Down, The Sisters of Mercy, and more announced for Sick New World festival

Following the emo/pop-punk juggernaut When We Were Young Festival, a heavier music festival will make its way to Las Vegas next year.
Announced today, Sick New World will feature a slew of metal, alternative rock, and industrial acts. Headlining the event are System of A Down, whose last studio albums were 2005’s Hypnotize and Mesmerize. For the metal crowd, bands like Korn, Kittie, Body Count, Melvins, and Cradle of Filth will be on hand. Those more into the alternative rock scene will enjoy sets from acts such as Placebo, Narrow Head, Superheaven, Failure, Panchiko, and Fiddlehead. Industrial and goth rock fans will gain sets from acts like The Sisters of Mercy (who’ll play their first show in the U.S. since 2008), The Birthday Massacre, Skinny Puppy, Killing Joke, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, and The 69 Eyes. The entire lineup can be seen below.
Sick New World will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday (November 11) at 2 p.m. PST. Pre-sale tickets will go live that same day at 10 a.m. PST. Head here to sign up for pre-sale tickets.
