WATCH: Hiroshi Kitadani perform One Piece's "We Are!" for The First Take

YouTube channel The First Take has brought a beloved One Piece theme to life.
Vocalist Hiroshi Kitadani brought together a slew of musicians to deliver One Piece’s first opening theme “We Are!” in one take, which can be seen below. Released in 1999, the theme kickstarted Kitadani’s career as an anisong artist, and they would return to do multiple theme songs for One Piece over the years. The theme would make its return to the series in various episodes.
Last year, a live-action adaptation of One Piece landed on Netflix where it quickly became a beloved translation of the source material. A second season of the show is currently in development. Netflix will also release a remake of the One Piece anime series. 2023 also saw the release of the One Piece Odyssey video game.
The Egghead arc of the One Piece anime premiered earlier this month.
