Last week, System of a Down, Korn, Faith No More, Helmet, and Russian Circles began sharing the same image online, which led many to believe something big was going to be announced. Today, System of A Down revealed they’re headlining Los Angeles' Banc Of California Stadium on May 22.
The band will be joined by the aforementioned acts as support. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (February 7) at 10 a.m. PST.
While System of a Down are in a standstill about recording new music, other acts performing will be present to promote material of their own. Back in September, Korn released their 13th studio album The Nothing, which peaked at number eight on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Helmet are working on the follow up to 2016’s Dead to the World. Russian Circles will be promoting their latest album Blood Year. Last month, Faith No More told Kerrang! they’re not focused on heading back to the studio right now.
After some teasing online, Faith No More have announced today a trio of festival performances for the new year.
On June 13, the band will perform in Ireland’s Sunstroke Festival. A week later (June 20), they’ll rock France’s Hellfest. On June 26, Faith No More will hit up Norway’s Tons of Rock. This will be the band’s first performances since 2016.
Faith No More’s last studio album was 2015’s Sol Invictus, which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. This was their first studio album since 1997’s Album of the Year.
