Previously canceled Game Boy Color game Infinity arriving this December

Previously canceled Game Boy Color game Infinity will officially see the light of day just in time for the holidays.

The game will arrive on December 22 thanks to Incube8 Games. Pre-orders for the game can be made here. Aside from the game, folks can also pre-order the soundtrack on CD, stickers, collector cards, art prints, and enamel pins. A pre-order trailer can be seen here.

Affinix Software developed Infinity for release on the Game Boy Color, but the game was cancelled in 2002. In 2016, an unfinished version was unveiled as a free ROM. In 2021, Incube8 Games successfully crowdfunded an official release for the game.

A synopsis for Infinity reads:

An ancient, nameless evil stirs beneath the earth, twisting the land and its people alike with its corrupting force. Two rival nations careen toward war, as a shadowy figure arms them both with unholy weapons of immense power. A disgraced knight is called upon to overcome the centuries-old pain that divides these peoples, his own grief, and the malevolent forces fanning the flames of hate. This epic tale frames a roleplaying game with a unique tactical battle system, 5 playable characters, a detailed world with over 30 explorable areas and more than 100 items, and beautiful 8-bit graphics — all to immerse you into the world of Infinity!
