Unfinished Game Boy Color game Infinity heads to Kickstarter

Tactical RPG Infinity, which was developed by Affinix Software from 1999 to 2001 for the Game Boy Color, has been left unfinished for 20 years. Fortunately, game publishers Incube8 Games and Retro Modding will join forces to bring this game a proper release.

Fans will be able to help bring this to life via Kickstarter. The campaign will go live on August 18. Featuring 20 hours of gameplay and 50 explorable areas, Infinity will include 20,000 words within 3,000 lines of dialogue.

A synopsis for the game reads:

An ancient, nameless evil stirs beneath the earth, twisting the land and its people alike with its corrupting force. Two rival nations careen toward war, as a shadowy figure arms them both with unholy weapons of immense power. And a disgraced knight is called upon to overcome the centuries-old pain that divides these peoples, his own grief, and malevolent forces fanning the flames of hate.

An unfinished demo is available to play here.
