Five anime shows to watch this Fall 2022 season

Summer is about to be over, but for anime fans, it means looking ahead to the fall. Previous fall seasons have unveiled heavy hitters such as Psycho-Pass, Yuri!!! on Ice, and Jujutsu Kaisen. This fall, a slew of series will take over the airwaves, and there’s something for all kinds of anime fans. These five anime series are certainly worth checking out when they drop.

Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man has been one of 2022's most anticipated anime series. Based on Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga series, Chainsaw Man follows Denji, who gains the ability to transform body parts into chainsaws thanks to a devil known as Pochita. With this new power, Denji has to protect the world from devils as part of the Public Safety Devil Hunters. Known for its violent content, Chainsaw Man's trailers have shown off some pretty gnarly moments. Chainsaw Man will be released on Crunchyroll.

Bocchi the Rock!

After a meeting with drummer Nijika Ijichi, that dream could become a reality. Bocchi the Rock! originally launched as part of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Max magazine in 2017.

Kodansha Manga Award-winning series Blue Lock will be getting the anime treatment thanks to Eight Bit. The series follows soccer player Yoichi Isagi and their journey to lead Japan to a win at the FIFA World Cup. Blue Lock has sold over 10 million copies since its debut back in 2018. Earlier this month, the manga series gained a Harvey Award nomination for Best Manga alongside Chainsaw Man. Blue Lock will air on Crunchyroll.
