U.K. indie pop artist Erin K. releases "Breathe" music video
U.K. indie pop artist Erin K. has delivered the music video for their single “Breathe” today.
The visual, which can be seen below, was directed by Jamie Danan, who said this about working on the project:
“The tempo of the song and nature of the title led to the concept of a dreamlike video with elements of dance and water combined. The sunlight was on our side too on the day we shot, and we’re all extremely pleased with the result.”
Erin K. said this about the song, which stems from their new album Sink To Swim:
“It’s my favourite song on ‘Sink To Swim’ and I’m very proud of its production, supported by my bandmates Massi, Henrik and Gigi.
It was born out of a guitar riff I’d been playing with for some time. After endless repetition, I eventually found my way to the lyrics: “breathe little girl…why don’t you sing like they want you to…sing little girl…follow what’s before for what comes after you”. The subject is a conversation with my childhood self, questioning the decisions and commitments made that would lead to this present moment.”
Sink To Swim is available on digital services right now.
