“Wellerman” has become a massive TikTok trend in recent months, so Trivium’s Matt Heafy decided to turn things up a notch.

On their Twitch streams, the musician gave the popular sea shanty a metal coating, which surprised the chatroom and Heafy. You can check out a clip from the stream below. The streams, which took place on Friday and Monday, drew a combined 83,000 viewers from around the world. Two years ago on Twitch, Heafy covered “Sea Shanty 2” from Runescape. Heafy recently hit 200,000 Twitch followers.

This Friday (February 8), Heafy will be joining forces with Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda to make a new track live on stream. The whole thing will take place on Shinoda’s Twitch channel at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
