The Game Awards 2021 winners announced (It Takes Two, Returnal, Elden Ring)
The 2021 installment of The Game Awards took place tonight, and a slew of games have earned some grand accolades.
Taking home the highly coveted Game of the Year is It Takes Two, which also won for Best Multiplayer Game and Best Family Game. Forza Horizon 5, which saw over 10 million players within the game’s launch week, also left with three awards: Best Audio Design, Innovation in Accessibility, and Best Sports/Racing Game. Returnal, which many believed was snubbed out of the bigger awards, won for Best Action Game. Elden Ring made Game Awards history by being the first game to win for Most Anticipated Game twice; the game won the award last year.
