It’s safe to say that 2020 sucked for basically everyone. While you can’t go out to a big party, the internet is full of great ways to celebrate the year finally being over. These are some of the best livestreams to watch if you’re looking to close out the year.
Tomorrowland: Virtual New Year's Eve Global Celebration - 8 p.m. local time (buy tickets here)
Tomorrrowland will close out the year with a slew of talented producers for a dance-filled celebration. Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, and Charlotte de Witte are among those set to spin that evening. If you want to relive any of the performances, you can purchase an on-demand pass, which is valid from January 1 through January 14.
Spafford New Year's Eve 2020 - 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST (buy tickets here)
Arizona jam band Spafford held their first show at New Year's Eve 2009, and they're not letting the situation outside prevent them from celebrating their 11th year as a band. The live performance will take place outside The Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona. Last year, the group released the albums The Gaff Tapes and Chapel Jam.

A slew of chiptune acts will celebrate New Years Eve with a special livestream. cTrix, Hedonism Bit (with Claire Kwong), Monotony, Stevens (aka Kane West / Kero Kero Bonito)(with Neon Death Cat), and Vera, Etc. will take the virtual stage. The whole thing will go down on Twitch.

Beatport and Absolut are teaming up for a massive marathon filled with dance beats to bring in the new year. Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber, and TOKiMONSTA are among those set to rock this special event with NYE celebrations in 15 timezones. You can watch it all take place on Twitch. Hiromi New Year's Eve Countdown - 11 p.m. EST/ 8 p.m. PST (buy tickets here)
Japanese pianist Hiromi will hold a special livestream to celebrate New Year's Eve in New York City. Proceeds from the performance will go towards Blue Note New York. In 2019, Hiromi unveiled Spectrum, which is their first solo studio album in a decade.
Crystal Hot Sauce Presents: NYE in NOLA - 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST (buy tickets here)
Hosted by actor John Goodman, NYE in NOLA will feature acts ringing in the New Year for different time zones. Galactic, Rebirth Brass Band, Dumpstaphunk, Anders Osborne, and Samantha Fish will be holding performances throughout different venues in New Orleans. The livestream will also have special appearances from Ani Di Franco, George Porter, Jr., Kermit Ruffins, and Big Sam.
