After Anime Expo, there’s the afterparty! Thousands of attendees will hit the streets of Los Angeles following their time at the convention, and they’ll probably want to hang out with old and new friends into the morning hours. Luckily, there’s a slew of afterparties for those after-con hangout sessions. We picked out some great afterparties set to go down during Anime Expo. Friday, July 1

Anime Expo Homecoming: City Pop Concert and Dance Party

Anime Expo will hold an official homecoming gig at The Novo with DJ sets from Tune in Tokyo's ShowaPOP and Dave Tada and a special performance from singer Mari Iijima, who is best known as Lynn Minmay in the Macross series.

Saturday, July 2

Persona 25th Midnight Masquerade
Where: Lounge 21 (Concourse Hall Foyer)

ATLUS will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Persona with a special masquerade party at Lounge 21. DJs  Sammi Sosa, Alex Kade, and Hingsing will deliver the tunes with partygoers take part of special photo opportunities and event-exclusive themed drinks. The event is free to the public. Tickets for guaranteed entry were on sale, but they sold out in under two hours.

Yoi Toki: A Futurefunk/Vaporwave Party

Yoi Toki: A Futurefunk/Vaporwave Party will make its Los Angeles debut in time for Anime Expo. DJ Faith in the Glitch, Valentine, & Jak Syn will play some of the best in vaporwave and futurefunk. Tickets are free for the first 50 people to RSVP.

Cosplay Deviants will hold a special afterparty at The Belasco Theater with DJs Midnight Snacks, mittensさん, and Initial Rhi spinning the jams all night. All attendees will gain a free tote bag.
