Chicago alt-rock band The Academy Is… have announced their first studio album in 18 years today.

Titled Almost There, the 11-track album is slated for a March 27 release on I Surrender Records. Vocalist William Beckett said this about the album’s title:

“Almost Here was the beginning. Almost There is the reflection. It’s about checking in with who you thought you’d be twenty years later, seeing what changed, what stuck, and what still feels like home.”

A new song from the album titled “2005” comes with a music video directed by Tyler Common, which can be seen here. Pre-orders for Almost There can be made here.

This spring, The Academy Is… will embark on a second leg of their Almost Here 20th anniversary tour. The trek will feature stops in cities such as Atlanta, Orlando, and Seattle. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
