Read MoreAfter 24 years, Porno For Pyros have reunited.
Today, the group made their big reunion during the Lollapalooza livestream. The act got together to perform their hit song “Pets” and the track “Kimberly Austin” from their sophomore studio album Good God’s Urge. Instead of having a full-blown set, the four-piece opted to have a chill acoustic performance. As tipped by Consequence of Sound, the two-song set can be viewed below.
The Lollapalooza livestream continues until Sunday. The event will be a mix of previously recorded sets and live performances. You can head here to view the entire lineup.
Porno For Pyros will reunite for the first time in 24 years during Lollapalooza’s livestream.
Announced today, the reunion is part of the festival’s forthcoming livestream, which will take place from July 30 through August 2. The stream will include a slew of archived and live performances from 150 acts. The full streaming schedule will be released this Wednesday (July 29). The whole event will take place on Lollapalooza’s YouTube channel. Elohim, The Front Bottoms, and Metallica are among those on the bill.
Porno For Pyros stemmed from the 1992 split of Jane’s Addiction. The band’s 1993 self-titled debut album peaked at number three on the Billboard Top 200 chart and delivered the Hot 100 single “Pets.” The band followed this up with their 1996 sophomore studio album Good God's Urge. The band would split in 1998.
In recent years, several attempts to have a Porno For Pyros reunion have been made. In 2018, the band was rumored to reunite for Perry Farrell’s Las Vegas project, but nothing happened.
12 years after going on hiatus, indie rock band The Format will return this year for some reunion shows.
Announced yesterday, the band will have two-night stints inside New York City’s Bowery Ballroom (March 20 & March 21) and Chicago’s Lincoln Hall (March 27 & March 28) before having a performance inside The Van Buren in Phoenix on April 3.
Pre-sale tickets for these shows are on sale right now. If you’re looking to spend more money, you can get a bundle featuring a ticket and a Live at the Mayan Theatre vinyl set. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday (February 7) at noon local time.
The Format recently re-released Live at the Mayan Theatre for most streaming platforms. You can watch it in full below.

Post-hardcore group Beloved will reunite after 15 years at next year’s Furnace Fest. Announced yesterday, the band are the first announced act for Furnace Fest, which itself has been inactive since 2003. Tickets for the event will go on sale soon.
Beloved unveiled their sole studio album Failure On in 2003 on Solid State. This release landed them on tours with Between The Buried and Me, The Bled, and Alexisonfire. In 2005, the band had their farewell show inside Millennium Center in their hometown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Since disbanding, members have played in the bands Advent, The Almost, and Classic Case.
Furnace Fest 2020 will take place inside Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Alabama from September 18 through September 20.
My Chemical Romance will reunite inside Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall on December 20. The band made the announcement today following some insane teasing on Instagram.
Tickets for this performance will go on sale tomorrow (November 1) at noon PST.
This is the band’s first performance since 2012. Since then, the members have been keeping active with their own projects. Gerard Way has been releasing music in between his comic book projects. In 2016, Ray Toro released his solo debut album Remember the Laughter. Mikey Way has been releasing music with Sleep Station vocalist David Debiak as Electric Century. Frank Iero has been releasing a slew of solo albums, including this year’s Barriers. James Dewees has been releasing music with The Get Up Kids and Reggie and the Full Effect.
When Bauhaus announced their reunion show at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium, fans flipped out. Tickets for the show sold out so quickly, the band had to add another date immediately. When that show also sold out, many fans were left in the cold. Fortunately, Bauhaus is giving them another chance to see them.
Announced today, Bauhaus will perform at the Hollywood Palladium on December 1. Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public this Saturday (September 21) at 10 a.m. PT. Like the other two shows, this will sell out instantly, so get your quick fingers ready.
