Read MoreAt the start of 2020, Pitchshifter got some friends together to re-record “Un-United Kingdom.” Months later, the band didn’t realize how different the world would become. This led to them re-recording another old track.
Released today, Pitchshifter have unveiled their re-recorded version of “Everything’s Fucked,” which stems from their 2000 studio album Deviant. In a statement, vocalist JS Clayden said:
“I thought that everything was as messed up as it was going to get in the year 2000 when we originally released the ‘Everything’s F**ked’ single; but we're two decades down the road and the lyrics are still applicable. We’re living in a slow-motion apocalypse. What better way to finally jockey clown ship earth off the bluffs than a re-issue of a 20-year-old tune lamenting the madness with a bunch of like-minded deviant provocateurs, and some live dates?”
The EFKD 2020 EP, which you can stream below, features a slew of guest appearances from Zak Tell (Clawfinger), Tony Campos (Static X), Patrik Wiren (Misery Loves Company), Frank Turner, Jason Bowld (Bullet For My Valentine), Arya Goggin (Skindred), Burton C Bell (Fear Factory), Jot Maxi (Hacktivist), Adam Frakes-Sime (Stamping Ground), Karl Middleton (Earthtone 9), Paul Fletcher (Romeo Must Die), Mikee Goodman (Sikth), Dan Cook (Raging Speedhorn), Frank Regan (Raging Speedhorn), Kit Conrad (Seething Akira), and Charlie Bowes (Seething Akira).
Pitchshifter also announced a slew of headlining shows across the U.K. this fall. Tickets for these shows go on sale next Friday (July 31).

Last year, Doom Eternal composer Mick Gordon wanted metal vocalists from around the world to help contribute to the game’s soundtrack. A slew of vocalists, including Black Crown Initiate’s James Dorton and Fear Factory’s Tony Campos, headed to Austin, Texas to lay down some vocals. Today, a behind the scenes video of the process was released, which you can check out below.
Doom Eternal is slated for a March 20 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and PC. A Nintendo Switch port will be released before the year is over. Pre-orders for the game can be made here. All pre-orders will receive a digital copy of Doom 64 as well as a Doot Revenant Skin, Throwback Shotgun Weapon Skin, and Cultist Base Master Level.
