Sonic X Shadow Generations brings Shadow into the world of Sonic Generations
If you’ve every played Sonic Generations wanting to play as Shadow The Hedgehog, your wishes have come true.
Announced at today’s Sony State of Play, Sonic X Shadow Generations is a remastered and expanded version of Sonic Generations with the addition of Shadow in their own standalone campaign. A new trailer can be seen below. The game can be wishlisted here.
Takashi Iizuka, Creative Officer, Sonic Team said this about the title:
“With Sonic x Shadow Generations, we wanted to bring Sonic Generations to PS5 and PS4 while pairing a brand-new Shadow storyline to crossover with the original story.
With Shadow’s portion of the title, players will get to know him more as a character and understand his motivations. It will create the ultimate celebration of Classic Sonic, Modern Sonic, and Shadow gameplay that all fans will surely enjoy.”
Sonic X Shadow Generations will arrive on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) this fall.
Shadow is set to appear in the forthcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film, which is slated for a December 20 release in theaters.
