Sega's Game Gear Micro details revealed

Details about Sega’s upcoming Game Gear Micro have officially been released.

Announced yesterday, the Game Gear Micro will be a delight for those on the hunt for video game collectibles. There will be four Micros available with four unique games of their own. The red Micro will include Revelations: The Demon Slayer, Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special, Columns, and The GG Shinobi. The black Micro will feature Sonic the Hedgehog, Puyo Puyo 2, Royal Stone, and Out Run. The blue Micro will have Sonic Chaos, Gunstar Heroes, Sylvan Tale, and Baku Baku Animal. The yellow Micro will have Shining Force Gaiden: Ensei – Jashin no Kuni he, Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya, Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict, and Nazopuyo Aruru no Ru.

Unlike the actual Game Gear, which has a 3.2-inch display, the Micro versions will feature a 1.15-inch display. Sega’s Big Window will be available if buyers purchase all four units in a bundle. This accessory will allow you to have a greater view of the action.

The Game Gear Micro, which is part of Sega’s 60th anniversary celebration, will go on sale in Japan for 4,980 yen ($50) starting on October 6, 2020. The bundle pack will go for 27,255 yen ($250). There’s no word if Sega will bring this over to North America, but collectors won’t have a problem grabbing these for their own. You can check out a video showcasing the device below.
