Austin singer-songwriter Sarah Sharp has announced the release of their debut album.
Announced yesterday, Deja Vü will be released on May 15 via Spaceflight Records. The 11-track release was recorded at the studio of local guitar legend Eric Johnson. To celebrate the release, Sharp unveiled their cover of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright”. The cover can be heard here.
Sharp said this about releasing Deja Vü now:
“My kids are now old enough. I want to play for way more people. Traveling with your music to other parts of the world is like running up and saying hello to parts of yourself that you can’t always access. It’s so powerful to integrate them. I’m always striving to become whole while keeping my heart open - living in the flow of what my friends call ‘Sarahdipity’.”
Sharp will have a slew of performances in the United States and Japan in the following weeks. Tour dates and tickets can be found here.
