Midsummer Scream 2026 in Long Beach (photos)

Horror and Halloween fans made their way to the Long Beach Convention Center for the 10th annual Midsummer Scream over the weekend.
The three-day event featured a slew of notable names in horror, including John Carpenter, Barry Bostwick, and Darren Lynn Bousman. There was plenty to see at Midsummer Scream, including Killer Fitness' Creature Feature Recital of Monster Mayhem on the Showfloor Stage and Horror Nerd Comedy at the FrakenStage. Midsummer Scream also featured a special 30th anniversary Scream panel featuring stars from the iconic film. As expected, the Halloween Horror Nights presentation brought the biggest crowd with the line nearly reaching the exits.
While waiting in between panels, attendees walked through the show floor featuring over 300 vendors. From The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Middle of Beyond, attendees walked away with some new merch and/or intriguing accessories. The Hall of Shadows brought some frightening attractions mixed with some scary characters walking throughout the region.
