Five Door Sedan unveil new single "The Basement"

South Carolina indie rock band Five Door Sedan unveiled their new single "The Basement" yesterday.

The band said this about the new single, which can be heard below:

“‘The Basement’ was inspired by a late-night conversation with my roommate after a long night of drinking. He joked that if he had already hit rock bottom, then rock bottom must have a basement. The line stuck with me because it felt funny and heartbreaking at the same time. The song grew into a reflection on isolation, self-destructive habits, and the feeling of being trapped in your own mind. Even in its darkest moments, though, there’s a small thread of hope running through it—the idea that sometimes all it takes is someone knocking on the door and reminding you there’s still something worth fighting for.”

“The Basement” stems from Five Door Sedan’s forthcoming sophomore album, which will arrive in October. The band will have a slew of East Coast performances in the next few months. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
