London Mulligan coming to Magic The Gathering this summer
After some testing during the Mythic Championship, Magic The Gathering will officially bring the London Mulligan to all formats. How exactly does this work? Well, every time a player takes a mulligan, they shuffle the cards in their hand back into the library before drawing a new one. If you mulligan to your appropriate number of cards, place the remaining cards in the bottom of the deck. For example, if you mulligan to five, draw seven cards and return two of them to the deck.
The London Mulligan will arrive in time for Core Set 2020’s release on July 12, 2019. The new mulligan will be used in Core Set 2020 preleases starting on July 5. Magic The Gathering Arena will have a special event to test things out on June 7. The London Mulligan will officially be adapted in Arena and Magic Online on July 2.
