Los Angeles psych-rock Levitation Room have dropped their first single of 2025 today.

“It Happens All the Time" arrives weeks before Levitation Room’s tour across North America. Guitarist Gabe Fernandez said this about the song, which is out on digital services right now:

“We’ve tried recording this song several times before but hadn’t been able to capture the song's essence until working with our friend Iggy at Savannah Studios. Julian first brought the song to the table quite fleshed out with changes and lyrics that evoked imagery of a starry night romance. My lead guitar draws from John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band era with a heavy rotary effect that gives a feeling of warm waves throughout the song. It’s a different approach to our song structure, even exploring more chordal varieties at the end of it. After several studio attempts we finally got the dreamy sound we felt was the embodiment of the song.”

Levitation Room will be touring in support of the record starting on April 16. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.

The band will also release their debut EP Minds of Our Own on vinyl for the first time in celebration of its 10-year anniversary. The vinyl release, which arrives on Greenway Records, will drop on April 12 for Record Store Day.

The band said this about their debut EP:

“Initially just a demo CD, Minds of Our Own is a collection of studio sessions and DIY demo recordings from the first era and LR band lineup. Its first official release was a small run on cassette, those of which quickly became a gem for the folks lucky to have one. We’re excited to say these tracks will FINALLY be released on vinyl to enjoy the way we’ve always wished for. This record captures a special era of the band and we’ll always be thankful to everyone who listened, supported and kept these songs alive.”
