Evanescence reveal new song for Netflix's Devil May Cry show
Netflix is joining forces with one of alternative metal’s most beloved acts for their forthcoming Devil May Cry show.
Revealed yesterday, Evanescence has delivered the original song "Afterlife.” The track, which can be heard here, was co-written by Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee and Alex Seaver of Mako with co-production done by Seaver and Nick Raskulinecz (Korn, Deftones). The song is available on digital services right now. The official Devil May Cry soundtrack will be released on April 3.
The new Devil May Cry animated series will debut on Netflix on April 3. The show will feature voice talent Johnny Yong Bosch (Dante), Scout Taylor-Compton (Mary), Hoon Lee (White Rabbit), Kevin Conroy (VP Baines), and Chris Coppola (Enzo).
A synopsis for the show reads:
In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game and from the vision of Adi Shankar, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.
