In The Pines announce new album, release new single "Bones"

Kansas City folk rock group In The Pines are back with a new single titled “Bones.”

The song is their first release since their 2008 self-titled debut album. The music video for the song, which you can see below, features visual effects by lead singer Brad Hodgson. The visual was edited by Joel Miller.

“Bones” is In The Pines’ first single from their forthcoming studio album, which will be released on Arctic Rodeo Recordings later this year. When it came to working on the record, it wasn’t a simple task. “It's definitely been a long haul with lots of obstacles,” Hodgson said in a statement. “But the thing that stands out is how much I love working with and creating with the band. We've been together so long, no matter the distance or time apart, it still feels like a family. And we now know how to work through ways that might have been a hindrance in earlier days.”

The band want fans to submit art and photographs for potential use for album artwork here. The record was mastered by Bob Weston, who is best known for their work with Nirvana, Sebadoh, and The Get Up Kids.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
