Evil Ryu spirit heading to Smash Bros. Ultimate

In a surprise move, Smash Bros. Ultimate will gain a brand-new spirit.

Announced today, Evil Ryu will be a spirit in the game starting on January 14. This is part of the ongoing celebration of the 35th anniversary of Street Fighter. Players will have five days to obtain this rare spirit.

This new event is a surprise seeing how Nintendo confirmed to be done with doing new events back in November. Since then, the game has been recycling old events for those looking for another chance to grab rare spirits.

Smash Bros. Ultimate released its final DLC character Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series back in October. Since its release in 2018, the game has sold around 25 million copies worldwide.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker.
