U.K. electronic band Noisy release new single "Alligator"
U.K. electronic band Noisy have unveiled their new single “Alligator” today.
The song finds the band sampling Livin’ Joy’s 1994 hit “Dreamer.” An accompanying music video, which was directed by Jake River Parker, can be seen below.
Vocalist Cody said this about the new single and working with alligators in the music video:
“I used to have a recurring nightmare as a kid that an alligator was trying to eat me so that’s where the lyrics came from. We spent a week writing in an airbnb near Braintree and Alligator came pretty quickly after getting gassed on the Livin’ Joy sample. I remember one of the first times hearing that tune and feeling a rush of euphoria and excitement, and now it’s so iconic. It was also the perfect excuse to get a real life alligator in a music video which was mad. There were actually 2 of them, Wendy and Alli G. They were surprisingly pretty chill”.
“Alligator” is available on digital services right now.
On January 13, Noisy will hold their Fast FWD To Friday event at Brighton’s Prince Albert. Tickets for the event will go on sale to the general public next Monday (November 14).
