Dutch indie-pop artist Amber Arcades releases "True Love" music video
Dutch indie-pop artist Annelotte de Graaf b.k.a. Amber Arcades has unveiled the music video for their latest single "True Love" today.
The visual, which can be seen below, was directed by Stephen Agnew and draws visual inspirations from Dadaism, Irish Wicca and Catholic iconography. De Graaf said this about the video:
“For me, emotions and feelings are almost a kind of a magic thing, in the way that they're able to change the way we experience reality. That idea runs deep throughout the record, including the song True Love. For the video, we wanted to translate the song's otherworldly eerie mood into images, using sci-fi and folk-horror tropes to emphasize this magic nature of emotions.”
“True Love” comes from Amber Arcades forthcoming album Barefoot On Diamond Road, which will be released this Friday via Fire Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made here.
Next month, the artist will perform at SXSW and have a trek across the Netherlands. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public here.
