Drab Majesty unveil cover of Blind Melon's "No Rain"

With so much going on in the world, Darkwave outfit Drab Majesty decided to deliver something unexpected to fans.

Today, they’ve released a cover of Blind Melon’s “No Rain.” “I made in 2012/2013 on a Tascam 246 cassette 4 track. Happy to be able to share it today,” member Deb Demure said in a statement. Released in 1993, “No Rain” would become Blind Melon’s biggest song, peaking at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Drab Majesty’s cover, which was mastered by Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv), coincides with Bandcamp’s No Fee Friday, which gives 100% of earnings to musicians today. It will be available on streaming platforms on May 4.

Drab Majesty have been busy promoting their latest studio album Modern Mirror.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
