Conner Youngblood releases first single in five years with “All They Want Is Violence"
Conner Youngblood has unveiled their first single in five years today.
“All They Want Is Violence” which can be heard below, was self-produced and recorded in Youngblood’s bedroom in Nashville.
Youngblood said this about the new song, which is inspired by horror films:
“The crazy part about ‘All They Want Is Violence’ only being one line long lyrically is the fact that it took me like four to five years to come up with. The instrumental was a very quick thing I made while I was just messing around during another song’s studio session and then had no idea what to do with it for years. It constantly bothered me and I would try to approach writing on top of it every few months for years. I think I was just finally inspired to say something about violence while watching way too many horror movies. I was watching the 1980s horror film Inferno while writing and recording the vocals, I definitely had (Julia Ducournau’s film) Titane on at some point during this as well. Crazy movie. I’ve seen it maybe five times by now.”
“All They Want Is Violence" is out on digital services right now.
