Coins, Crown & Cabal picked up by Daedalic Entertainment, will no longer be a free-to-play title
There’s some major news surrounding forthcoming medieval online strategy game Coins, Crown & Cabal today.
Developer Magni Games announced the title will now be published by Daedalic Entertainment. If that’s not enough, the game will abandon its free-to-play run to become a premium title.
Magni Games said this about the change:
“We listened closely to you, our most dedicated community, and together with our Publisher Daedalic Entertainment we decided to change our path from “Free to Play” to an “oldschool” Buy-to-Play Model.
We are aware that some of you followed us specifically for Coins, Crown & Cabal being planned as a Free-to-Play Title, but after careful reconsideration we believe that the majority of the community, the game itself - as well as its development - benefit far more from this change.
Eventhough we can not speak about concrete price tags yet, one thing is clear - we are still the same Indie Devs, working on the same Indie title - so you can expect Indie prices.
This means as well, that we focus our development power mainly on the PC version of Coins, Crown & Cabal, which inevitably leads to us stepping away from developing the game for mobile platforms.”
Coins, Crown & Cabal can be wishlisted on Steam right now here. Leading up to its soon-to-be-announced release date, Magni Games will allow fans to test the game out via its alpha testing. More information on alpha testing will arrive soon.
