Caliban announce new album 'Dystopia,' release new song “Ascent Of The Blessed”

German metal band Caliban have announced their new studio album Dystopia today.

The album was co-produced by Benjamin Richter (Moonspell, Emil Bulls) and guitarist Marc Görtz with additional production work by Callan Orr (Dream On, Dreamer). The first single from the album titled Ascent of the Blessed” comes with a music video directed by Daniel Priess, which can be seen below.

Vocalist Andreas Dörner said this about the new cut:

“This song is inspired by my imagination of a near-death-experience and the question about my life. It’s about the question if one is a good or an evil person.”

“Ascent of the Blessed” is on digital services right now. More information about Dystopia, including tracklisting and release date, will be unveiled soon. The album artwork, which can be seen below, was created by Season Zero, who also worked on the artwork for Zeitgeister.
