Big Nothing announce new album 'Dog Hours,' release new single "A Lot of Finding Out"
Philadelphia indie-rock band Big Nothing have dropped details on their new studio album today.
Dog Hours will be released on February 18 via Lame-O Records. The first single from the record titled "A Lot of Finding Out" can be heard below. Guitarist/vocalist Matt Quinn said this about the album’s more chill approach.
“With the pandemic, we were all writing separately and stuck playing quietly in our apartments. And so it was pretty natural that we started making more stripped-back music.
We weren’t able to get together but we were sharing demos for a long time before we recorded. So we just kept listening and preparing and working the songs out, and when we got to the studio and started tracking, that was actually the first time we played them as a band.”
Pre-orders for the album can be made here. This is the follow-up to their 2019 studio album Chris.
Big Nothing will hold their record release show at a soon-to-be-announced location in Philadelphia on March 18.
