Borderlands 4 is coming out earlier now

While games usually get a delayed launch, Borderlands 4 is doing something a bit different by coming out earlier than expected.

Announced yesterday, the game is now set for a September 12 release via the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). Borderlands 4 was originally slated for a September 23 release. The reason for the earlier launch is the fast progress from the development team. Borderlands 4 can be wishlisted right now here.

Today at 5 p.m. EST/ 2 p.m. PST, Borderlands 4 footage will be featured during a special State of Play from Sony. 15 minutes of developer-guided gameplay from Creative Director Graeme Timmins and Senior Project Producer Anthony Nicholson will be aired here.
