10 standout games at Steam Next Fest February 2022

Steam Next Fest took place last week, and hundreds of demos were available for the public to check out. Out of the huge bunch, these 10 demos stood out to us the most. Fortunately, some of these demos are still available to play on Steam right now.

Being President is easily the hardest job on the planet. Fortunately, President Studio allows you to make choices in the oval office without real-world consequences with I Am Your President. In this game, you have to make important decisions that can make or break your reputation with the world. From signing bills to working with other countries, nothing is off-limits in this presidential simulator.

Food Truck Simulator

Developer: DRAGO entertainment
Publisher: Movie Games

Drago Entertainment, who delivered last year's exciting Gas Station Simulator, is at it again with Food Truck Simulator. Much like Gas Station Simulator, the player takes over the family business, and it's their job to make sure everything runs smoothly. Grab supplies and make sure customers’ orders are correct if you want to be a success. Expect this title to be another surprise hit much like Gas Station Simulator.

Horror Drift

Publisher: Kurayami Yume Games

If you're looking for something different with your driving game, Horror Drift is the title for you. In this title, you have to make it your destination while avoiding spooky distractions such as ghosts and the occasional eyes plastered on the screen.

Trail Out

Developer: Good Boys
Publisher: Crytivo

Fans of the FlatOut series will find themselves familiar with Good Boys' forthcoming title Trail Out. In this high-paced racing game, players must go through various races in the Trail Out Festival in order to become the overall champion. With destruction at every turn, Trail Out is perfect for people looking for mayhem on the road.

Esports History

Developer: Quantum Gear Studios
Publisher: Quantum Gear Studios

The road to eSports glory is filled with highs and lows. In Esports History, you'll be able to follow the grueling path to the top. Before landing that massive contract, you'll have to start at the bottom competing at local competitions. Unfortunately, you'll have to split time between gaming, going to school, and making money. Getting to the top isn’t easy, everyone.

Neon White

Developer: Angel Matrix
Publisher: Annapurna Interactive

One year after its initial announcement, the demo for Neon White showcases the game's intriguing card-based shooter premise. The gameplay felt fluid when it came to swapping cards out during some critical moments. Aside from Steam, the game will also be released on the Nintendo Switch.

Minimal Dungeon RPG

Developer: CapPlay Interactive Inc.
Publisher: CapPlay Interactive Inc.

Minimal Dungeons RPG is EXACTLY how it sounds: a simple RPG for both newcomers and veterans of the genre. In this title, lush environments and unforgettable creatures are traded for colored boxes. Despite this, Minimal Dungeons RPG still delivers some great gameplay with its straightforward setting.

Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef

Developer: Rogueside
Publisher: Rogueside

Guns, Gore, and Cannoli developers Rogueside are back with their Warhammer-themed run-n-gun title Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef. In the game, players must hunt down Warboss Gutrekka on Luteus Prime and retrieve their hair squig. Unfortunately, a slew of enemies stands in the way of making this goal possible.

Card Shark

Developer: Nerial
Publisher: Devolver Digital

Card Shark isn't like most popular card games in the market today. In the title, the player traverses through 18th-century France to become a highly-skilled card trickster. Through various methods, the player will be able to trick their opponents into making the wrong move, which means more money in the end. Your main goal, however, is to not get caught in the action. Players can have Card Shark on-the-go with its release on the Nintendo Switch, too.

Christine

Developer: Mens Sana Interactive
Publisher: Mens Sana Interactive

Christine follows the titular character's journey to landing the lead role at a local opera. In the demo, players had to discover all of the landmarks of Paris. While the demo was very brief, it showcased the intriguing direction this interactive story is headed. Christine features artwork from Katia Numakura with music from Tatyana Jacques.
