California shoegaze/post-hardcore band Cold Gawd have signed to Dais Records.

The band will unveil their forthcoming studio album on the record label this fall. Today, they dropped their new single “Moving to California in March,” which can be heard below. The band said this about the new tune:

“‘Moving…’ is a song about the anxious feeling that is making— what you think is— the biggest next step of your life. ‘Stay in Chicago?’ ‘Go home?’ You’ll always ask yourself, ‘was that the right move?’ but every day remember why you left.”

On March 16, Cold Gawd will perform at Los Angeles’ Harvard and Stone with Warsaw Pact and Diamonds. The 21+ show is free to the public.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
