Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game to make triumphant return this holiday season

Nearly six years after being delisted, Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game will make its return for its 10 year anniversary.

Announced at today’s Ubisoft Forward, Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game - Complete Edition will be remastered with both DLC packs added on. The announcement trailer can be seen below. Released back in 2010, Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game won the award for Best Adapted Video Game at the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game - Complete Edition will be released this holiday season on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 to arrive on December 8

The highly anticipated sequel to Puyo Puyo Tetris finally has a release date.

Revealed today, the game will launch on December 8 via the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. The game will arrive on Steam early next year. Folks with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be able to upgrade for no additional cost. A trailer for the game can be seen below.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 will introduce Skill Battle, which utilizes character-based skills in the fight. Pre-orders can be made here. All pre-orders will come with a Skill Battle Booster Pack, which will feature Sonic The Hedgehog item cards.

The first Puyo Puyo Tetris game was released in 2014 in Japan before seeing a North American release in 2017.

Gotham Knights announced at DC FanDome

The newest DC Comics video game has finally been revealed.

At today’s DC FanDome, Warner Bros. Games Montréal announced Gotham Knights. In the game, Bruce Wayne is dead, and it’s up to Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Red Hood to defend Gotham City. Aside from releasing a trailer, Warner Bros. Games Montréal dropped some gameplay footage. You can check both videos out below.

Gotham Knights is slated for a 2021 release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 moved to 2021

Paradox Interactive and Hardsuit Labs have revealed Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will arrive in 2021.

In a joint statement released yesterday, both companies said, "Due to the quality bar and ambitions we have set for ourselves, we have made the difficult decision that we need more time. Moving launch is one of the changes we are making to ensure the best player experience possible.”

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was originally planned for release back in March, but it was pushed back into an unspecified date in 2020. Pre-orders for the game can be made here.

Battletoads gets August 20 release date

Two years after being announced at E3, Battletoads has a release date.

Announced today, the game will be released on August 20 via Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and Steam. Game developer Rare made the announcement with a trailer, which you can see below. This will be the first Battletoads game since 1994’s arcade game Battletoads Arcade, which was released on the 2015 compilation Rare Replay.

Released in 1991, Battletoads became a success for Rare with six Nintendo Power Awards to its name. The franchise also spawned an animated TV show pilot and a crossover with Double Dragon.

Dragon Quest XI to arrive on Xbox this December

Dragon Quest XI will make its way to Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and Windows 10 later this year.

Announced at today’s Xbox showcase event, the game will arrive on December 4. This is the first time a Dragon Quest game has ever appeared on an Xbox console. This port is based on the Nintendo Switch’s Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition, which arrived last year. This version includes a slew of upgrades, including the option of using 16-bit graphics.

Released back in 2017, Dragon Quest XI has sold over five million copies. The game earned RPG of the Year nominations at The Game Awards, Game Critics Awards, and D.I.C.E. Awards. At the Titanium Awards, Dragon Quest XI would win in that category.

Star Wars: Squadrons announced

After some teasing online, EA have announced their next Star Wars video game.

Star Wars: Squadrons revolves around pilots from the New Republic and Galactic Empire engulfed in a heated battle. The single-player mode will have the player seeing both sides of the story as they play pilots from both forces. The multiplayer part of the game will feature battles with up to 10 players with cross-platform play available.

The game’s trailer, which was released today, can be seen below.

EA will show gameplay from Star Wars: Squadrons at their EA Play event, which takes place on Thursday (June 18). Pre-orders for the game are available here. Goosebumps Dead of Night heads to consoles and PC this summer

Popular mobile VR game Goosebumps Night of Scares will make its way to consoles and PC this summer.

Announced today, the re-imagined port, which is being developed by Cosmic Forces, will be titled Goosebumps Dead of Night. This game will include additional content, including bonus chapters and more monsters. The Nintendo Switch version will have gyroscopic controls, HD Rumble functionality, and touchscreen support. A trailer for the game and screenshots can be seen below.

Released in 2015, Goosebumps Night of Scares finds the player trying to retrieve the missing pages of classic Goosebumps books.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 remasters arriving on September 4

Remastered versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will hit stores this September.

Announced today, these remastered classics will arrive on the XBox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows on September 4. A video showcasing these games in their remastered form can be seen below. A special video with Jack Black discussing the remasters can also be seen below.

Pre-orders for the two-game collection can be made here. A special deluxe digital edition of the collection includes retro outfits for Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, and Steve Caballero, special retro content for create-a-skater mode, and “The Ripper” skater from Powell-Peralta. All digital pre-orders gain access to the Warehouse demo.

For XBox One and PlayStation 4 owners, there are special collector’s edition including a skateboard from Birdhouse. As of this writing, it’s not sure if the collector’s edition is already sold out or still haven’t been put on sale, but X-Box One owners can head here attempt to snag their copy while PlayStation 4 owners can do the same here.

The remasters were developed by Vicarious Visions, who worked on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS ports of the original Tony Hawk games. Recently, they worked on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled.

A documentary about the Tony Hawk games titled Pretending I’m a Superman – The Tony Hawk Video Game Story is set to be released in the near future through Wood Entertainment. More information about the documentary can be found here.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla trailer released

Assassin's Creed fans got their first glimpse of the forthcoming title Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Released today, the game’s four-minute cinematic trailer showcases some intense Viking action. “Become Eivor, a Viking raider raised to be a fearless warrior, and lead your clan from icy desolation in Norway to a new home amid the lush farmlands of ninth-century England. Find your settlement and conquer this hostile land by any means to earn a place in Valhalla,” the game’s synopsis reads.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be unveiled this holiday season on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Stadia, and Windows (Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store). Pre-orders are live here.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the follow up to 2018’s Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which won for Best Artistic Design at the Titanium Awards.
