WWE Champions announces collaboration with Cowboy Bebop

WWE Champions has joined forces with a beloved anime series for a limited-time event.

Today, the popular free-to-play mobile game has added gear based on characters from the anime series. Players will have a chance to obtain “NXT” Trick Williams’ Spike Spiegel gear, “Sol Surfer” Sol Ruca’s Faye Valentine gear, or “The Man of a Thousand Truths” Bray Wyatt’s Jet Black gear. Each gear will have its own entrance and victory animations. Gear owners will also unlock special match bonuses, including power gems adding an additional 150% more damage for Wyatt.

Jerome Collin, General Manager of WWE Champions at Scopely said this about the collaboration:

“Bringing larger-than-life icons into the ring is in our DNA, but collaborating with Cowboy Bebop takes that vision to another level. Its timeless style and legendary cast fit seamlessly into our universe for a truly unforgettable crossover.”

WWE Champions is available on mobile phones here. New players can use the promo code “COWBOY” to unlock two-time NXT champion Trick Williams as a 5-Star Bronze character. The mobile game previously had collaborations with Tekken, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Ghostbusters.

Since its initial release, Cowboy Bebop has been adapted into video games and a live-action adaptation on Netflix. Cowboy Bebop can be streamed on Crunchyroll right now.

The Bebop crew is just trying to make a buck. This motley lot of intergalactic loners teams up to track down fugitives and turn them in for cold hard cash.
