Voivod announce new album 'Synchro Anarchy'

Canadian prog metal group Voivod have officially announced their new studio album today.

The nine-track record titled Synchro Anarchy will be released on February 11 via Century Media Records. For the album, Voivod worked with producer Francis Perron at RadicArt Studio. The first single from the album as well as album pre-orders will be released on Friday, December 10.

Drummer Michel “Away” Langevin, who did the album’s artwork, said this about the forthcoming album:

“We are eager to present our latest work, a real collaborative effort. The new album represents countless hours of writing, demoing, recording, mixing and so on. The band and Francis Perron at RadicArt Studio gave their very best to make it happen under unusual circumstances, which led us to call it “Synchro Anarchy”. We feel that the sound and music are 100% Voïvod, and we hope everyone will enjoy it as much as we had fun making it. We certainly can’t wait to play it live.”

Synchro Anarchy is the follow-up to Voivod’s 2018 studio album The Wake, which won the Juno Award for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year.
