UDON Entertainment to publish Summer Time Rendering

Today, UDON Entertainment has announced they’ve gained the English print rights for Summer Time Rendering.

Written by Yasuki Tanaka, the manga originally ran from October 2017 to February 2021. UDON Entertainment will release the translated manga with new lettering next year. In the manga, a young man named Shinpei heads back home to Higotoshima, Japan after a horrible accident. Unfortunately, something evil is waiting for them.

UDON Entertainment Chief of Operations Erik Ko said this about the collaboration:

“This will be the first Shonen Jump manga that UDON has published. I am very excited to work with Shueisha on this collaboration. Summertime Rendering is one of the most engaging manga I have ever read, and I am honored to have the opportunity to bring this amazing story by Tanaka-sensei to English audiences!”

2022 will also see the release of an anime adaptation of Summer Time Rendering, which will be aired on Disney+. Ayumu Watanabe, who is best known for their work on the Ace Attorney and After The Rain shows, will be the series’ director. There’s also a live-action adaptation and a real escape game in the works.
