The nominees for the 2024 installment of The Game Awards have been revealed today.

One of the biggest highlights is Balatro walking away with a slew of nominations, including Game of the Year and Best Independent Game. Joining Balatro in the battle for Game of the Year are Astro Bot, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Metaphor: ReFantazio. The Game Awards will air live from Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 12 on various streaming platforms. A limited number of in-person tickets for the event are on sale to the general public right now here.
