The Game Awards 2021 returns to Microsoft Theater on December 9

The Game Awards will make its grand return to the Microsoft Theater this December.
Revealed yesterday, the video game award ceremony will arrive on Thursday, December 9 for its in-person event. Lorne Balfe will also return to conduct the Game Awards Orchestra. More information about the event will be revealed soon. Following its 2014 debut in Las Vegas, The Game Awards has been held at the popular Los Angeles venue for five consecutive years.
Last year’s Game Awards celebration was its most watched yet with 83 million viewers worldwide tuning in. This was up 84% from 2019’s ceremony, which had 45.2 million viewers. The big winner at the ceremony was The Last of Us Part II, which won seven awards. Last year’s ceremony, which featured appearances from Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Keanu Reeves, can be seen below.
