Eight years have gone by since The Devil is a Part-Timer!’s last episode, and fans have been hoping for another round of adventures surrounding Satan and Co. Fortunately, those wishes are coming true.

In a surprise reveal today, a second season of the popular anime has been announced via a trailer, which can be seen below. The main Japanese voice cast from the first season will return for these new episodes. A release date will be announced in the future.

The announcement arrives as the light novel celebrates its 10-year anniversary. Released in February 2011, the light novel spawned a manga series and a spin-off series (The Devil Is a Part-Timer! High School!). The final book in the light novel series was released last August.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
