The Comic Shop will get Kickstarter campaign for season two

Season two of The Comic Shop will arrive, but they need the help of fans again to get it going.

Revealed at L.A. Comic Con yesterday, a Kickstarter campaign for season two of the award-winning series will launch in 2027. The Kickstarter campaign for season one raised more than $207,000 from 1,795 backers.

The Comic Shop creator Cheyenne Ewulu said this about the forthcoming season:

“I'm excited to continue this journey of creating independent art. Our audience has been incredibly patient as we figured out how we wanted to continue telling this story, and now we're finally on our way.”

Fans can head here to sign up for more information about the Kickstarter launch. The first season of The Comic Shop can be viewed on YouTube right now. The show stars Ewulu, Zeno Robinson (Owl House, My Hero Academia), Shanae Cole (Grownish), Grayson Niles (The Goldbergs) and features Khary Payton (The Walking Dead, Teen Titans Go!).

A synopsis for The Comic Shop reads:

Welcome to Oh Em Gee! Comics, where business is slow, the employees are a mess, and there's always some new disaster waiting around the corner. There's Stephanie, an aspiring comic book writer with dreams bigger than her paycheck; Keith, a competitive gamer convinced he's destined for greatness; Dominique, who's always got her head in the clouds; and Connor, who's desperately trying to avoid having to beg his parents for money again.

Between bizarre customers, petty workplace drama, terrible business decisions, and a landlord hellbent on replacing their store with a dispensary, the crew has their work cut out for them. But no matter how ridiculous things get, they're determined to keep Oh Em Gee! Comics open. Even if they're usually the reason it's in trouble in the first place.

Part workplace comedy, part love letter to comic book culture, The Comic Shop is about a group of nerds chasing their dreams, getting in their own way, and trying to save the one place they can call their own.
