Melvor Idle 2: A RuneScape Adventure arriving in November on PC

Jagex: The RuneScape Company has joined forces with developer Games by Malcs for the upcoming release of idle adventure game Melvor Idle 2: A RuneScape Adventure.
Revealed today, the game is set to launch on Steam Early Access on November 17.
A synopsis for Melvor Idle 2: A RuneScape Adventure reads:
A single-player adventure that combines the satisfaction of an incremental idle game with RPG systems inspired by RuneScape, Melvor Idle 2 invites players to embark on an engaging, accessible adventure as they journey through Melvor and skill up to make their mark in its world. They’ll master interconnected skills with the tap of a finger, from wood cutting, smithing, cooking, and farming, to combat and magic, and max them out at their own pace. By developing their ranged, melee, and magic skills, they’ll be ready to take on brutal dungeons, battle monsters, and face perilous bosses. Strategic planning is key, as offline progression allows the adventure to continue even without playing.
Fans of the first game can look forward to plenty of fresh content with this new iteration, to go along with its fresh look through updated graphics, audio, animations, and more. Five new skills, bringing the total skill count up to 29, introduce new synergies to discover, as well as a completely reimagined Mastery system for all skills. A new Quest system introduces new ways to test combat skills – updated with new mechanics – and uncover the rich history of Melvor. And a first for the franchise, Melvor Idle 2 offers game modes to challenge players of all skill levels.
Brendan Malcom, Founder Games By Malcs said this about the forthcoming title:
“Melvor Idle started as a small passion project inspired by RuneScape, so partnering with Jagex to make Melvor Idle 2 a true ‘RuneScape Adventure’ is a dream come true. With Jagex’s support, we can go even further: five new skills, a reimagined Mastery system, a brand-new Quest system and a whole new look. I can’t wait for players to dive in when we launch in Early Access on 17 November.”
Anna Mostyn-Williams, Senior Director of Business Development & Partnerships at Jagex also said:
“Games By Malcs has built a passionate community by capturing what makes RuneScape’s skilling so satisfying, and Brendan has done that brilliantly. After Melvor Idle’s incredible success, we’re thrilled to build on it and publish Melvor Idle 2: A RuneScape Adventure, bringing the game closer than ever to the RuneScape universe. We think both longtime Melvor fans and RuneScape players will love what’s coming.”
