The best Mother's Day 2026 events in Los Angeles

Mother’s Day is this Sunday (May 10), and plenty of folks are still looking for something exciting to do with their mothers. Fortunately, Los Angeles is always filled with a plethora of things going on in every direction. We list some cool events going down this Sunday that are perfect for moms.

Improv and sketch at The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)

If you're looking for a night of improv and sketch comedy for Mother's Day, head to The Pack Theater to watch house teams deliver a slew of laughs. Improv begins with Blood Pact and Thirst Trap taking the 7 p.m. slot while Chonk and Beverly hit the stage at 8 p.m. Sketch comedy teams Flight Risk and Vogue will go on at 9 p.m.

Lisa Wallen @ Petty Cash Studios (8949 Sunset Blvd.)

Comedian Lisa Wallen will have a special headlining show at Petty Cash Studios to run through some new material for those looking for some jokes. Last year, Wallen released their comedy special Lisa Wallen Leaves The House on YouTube. The special was filmed at Level 7 Games in Denver. Wallen will be joined by special guests Sean Dolan, Kelly Mcinerney, and Josh Waldron.

Dark Library: The Time Machine @ After Hours Theatre Company (5628 Vineland Ave.)

Immersive theatrical experience Dark Library has been wowing audiences at the After Hours Theatre Company by bringing HG Wells’ novels to life. The 75-minute experience will take place at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Aside from a general admission ticket, attendees can also gain some special alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the event with Society Member and Royal Council tickets.

Satanic Hispanics screening with cast and crew @ Killer Fitness (822 North Hollywood Way)

Killer Fitness will have a special screening of the 2022 horror anthology film Satanic Hispanics alongside the cast and crew of the film. Directors Mike Mendez and Alejandro Brugués and cast members Jonah Ray and Efren Ramirez will hold a special Q&A session after the screening.

F**k My Son! Screening with special Mother's Day Q+A @ Brain Dead Studios (611 N Fairfax Ave.)

Brain Dead Studios will host a special Mother's Day screening of the 2025 comedy horror film F**k My Son! A Q&A session will take place following the screening with confirmed guests Todd Rohal (Writer/Director), Johnny Ryan (Comic Book Writer), Tipper Newton (Actress), Robert Longstreet (Actor), Steve Little (Actor), Johnny Ryan's biological mother, and Tipper Newton's biological mother.

Reefer Madness: The Musical @ Wisteria Theater (7061 Vineland Ave.)

Reefer Madness: The Musical will continue its run at the Wisteria Theater with a special Mother's Day performance. Reefer Madness: The Musical is a satirical stage production based on the cult classic Reefer Madness.
