Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (September 29 through October 5).
Tuesday, September 30
F**k This Month @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Avenue)
Doors: 8:15 p.m. (tickets)
Improv group F**k This Month will transform your bad month into an exciting improv performance. The cast for Tuesday's show include Angela Giarratana, Betsy Sodaro, Vanessa Gonzalez, Ryan Asher, Waleed Mansour, Eli Gonzalez, Lauren Knutti, and Jeff Whitaker. The lineup is subject to change. Wednesday, October 1
10 Years @ The Echoplex (1154 Glendale Blvd)
Doors: 6:30 p.m. (tickets) (all ages)
Knoxville alternative metal band 10 Years will bring The Autumn Effect’s 20th anniversary tour to the Echoplex. The band's major label debut album spawned the charting songs "Wasteland," "Through the Iris," and "Waking Up". Snakes of Russia and Kamenar will be the opening acts.
Thursday, October 2
The Chameleons, The Veldt @ The Belasco (1050 South Hill Street)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets) (all ages)
Beloved post-punk band The Chameleons will headline The Belasco in support of their first studio album in 24 years titled Arctic Moon. Iconic shoegaze band The Veldt will be the opening act.
Friday, October 3
Really Awesome Wrestling @ The Broadwater Second Stage (6320 Santa Monica Boulevard)
Doors: 8:45 p.m. (tickets)
Hosted by Maxwell Baum Schlitz, Really Awesome Wrestling will feature comedy sets, a character act, and an improv set within an hour. Really Awesome Wrestling will take place on the first Friday of every month.
Vimic, Wednesday 13 @ Teragram Ballroom (1234 West 7th Street)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets) (all ages)
Vimic will honor the legacy of late Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison with the official release of their previously shelved debut album Open Your Omen. Wednesday 13, who co-founded horror punk band Murderdolls with Jordison, will be the opening act.
L7, Lunachicks @ The Belasco (1050 South Hill Street)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets) (all ages)
L7 will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a special hometown performance at The Belasco. Lunachicks and CSS will be the opening acts.
Saturday, October 4
Kimochii Con @ Ramada by Wyndham South El Monte (1089 Santa Anita Avenue)
Doors 11 a.m. (tickets) (18+)
Horror-themed anime convention Kimochii Con will bring some spooky fun to the Ramada by Wyndham South El Monte. The convention features a handful of guests, including Stella Chuu, Mizzi Mie, and Kiki Cheea. The convention also features Goth IHOP with a plethora of goth waitresses on hand.
PuffCon 2025 @ LA Center Studios (450 S Bixel Street)
Doors: 2 p.m. (tickets) (21+)
PuffCon will take over the LA Center Studios for a two-day celebration of all things hash. Saturday will be exclusively for those with a PuffCo Device (Pro, Peak, Proxy or Pivot). Sunday will be open to the general public. Attendees can expect main stage performances from acts such as Key Glock, Eric Andre, Reggie Watts, and more. The event will also feature a slew of vendors and glass artists as well as live glass demos.
Menudo Gigante! @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Avenue)
Doors: 5:15 p.m. (tickets)
Improv team Menudo (Anna Salinas, Carlos Orlando, Claudio Saavedra, Eli Gonzalez, Heather Alarcón Higginbotham, July Diaz, and Adri Diaz) will host their own version of beloved TV show Sábado Gigante in honor of Hispanic Heritage month. Menudo Gigante! Will feature improv from Spanish Aquí Presents (Raiza Licea, Tony Rodríguez, Oscar Montoya, and Carlos Santos), live Djing from Will Martinez as Sabado Gigante’s El Chacal, standup comedy from Michelledonna and Martin Urbano, and characters from Gabby Sandoval. The lineup is subject to change.

Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
